-Seniors- make sure to send pictures for the senior tribute slideshow to email@example.com
Last day to submit pictures is Friday April 29th.
-Students interested in joining senate for the 2016-2017 school year, you may now pick up applications in Activities. Be part of the epic adventure of leadership!
-Students, especially seniors, if you need summer school, sign up with your counselors. Classes are filling up quickly. The cost is $62.50 for half a credit. Summer school scholarships are available to seniors graduating in the summer.
-OPEN LAB IN MATH BUILDING 508 ON APRIL 27/28/29 (WED/THURS/FRI)!!!
-FCA- will meet Friday at lunch in room 106. Lunch will be served.
-PARCC Testing- Classes will be held ALL MONTH, even if the class is labeled as a make-up. You must attend! Regular course work will be done! Go to your regular classes as usual!
-Seniors- If you missed Wednesday night’s graduation meeting, you must stop by Activities and counseling to pick up paperwork as soon as possible! Also, check out the Senior Week banner outside activities for special dates and times reminders.
-Mini Art Show--Stop by the entrance to the library and check out the artwork from the following featured Highland High School artists.
-Seniors, due to the short staff in the counseling office, you do not need to come to the counseling office to get your counselor's signature. They will be present to sign your red slip when you pick up your cap and gown on May 10th. If you need a copy of the Exit Survey, it is available in the Counseling Office and also in Activities.
-Spring Fling 2016- has been rescheduled and will now take placer on Wednesday May 11th 5-7pm in the courtyard. Enjoy music, games and food. Staff and students, please make sure to sign up your group no later than Friday May 6th.
-Baseball is asking you donate items on Saturday May 7th. Bins will be located on campus. Items needed include clothing, books, toys, shoes, and son on. Please speak to a member of the baseball team for details.
-Do you love to dance? If dancing is in your blood, then you would be a perfect fit for the Highland High School drill team! For more information, come to ONE of the meetings on either Thursday, May 5th at 6:00pm, or Friday, May 6th at 2:45pm in the school cafeteria. See you there!
-Good luck to varsity tennis who continue district play today and tomorrow, and our varsity track and field who compete in the metro championships today at Community Stadium. Tomorrow, our JV and varsity baseball and softball teams compete against EHS. Erase those Eagles!

Key Club Hittin The Trails!
What a great time! The Key Club sponsored a hike up Embudito Trail in the Sandia mountains on Sunday March 6th, 2016. We had a blast and best of all everyone made it down in one piece.
Highland Then, Hastings Now
Adam Cogburn, 2015 Highland graduate, is now a member of the Hastings College baseball team in Hastings, Nebraska. During a recent doubleheader against Concordia, Adam batted 3-5 in both games. We're proud of ya!

Senate is Golden at State!
17 senate members represented Highland at the annual state conference held in Los Alamos February 11-13, 2016. Highland won "Gold Level" Student Council of the Year! This is the second consecutive year Highland has done so, and one of only five high schools in the state to do so. Congrats!
